Mainstay (formerly AdmitHub)

Mainstay is our AI-powered chatbot that is used for direct communication to Illinois State University students. The chat bot (aka Redbird Bot) is the communication point for new students to receive assistance with every day questions about their education at Illinois State University. Mainstay is also used to notify students of new campus events, important educational tips, advising tips, and more. 

While Redbird Bot will attempt to answer most pertinent questions with accuracy, if your question is unable to be answered by the bot, it will be forwarded to the Technology Support Center who will then further look into your question.

Note

All communications between you and the chatbot are accessible by the Technology Support Center staff. 

Unsubscribe from Mainstay Chatbot Messages

There may be a situation where you no longer wish to receive text messages or correspondence from the Mainstay chatbot.

To opt-out of any further messages, respond to Redbird Bot with a text containing any of the following:

  • #stop
  • STOP
  • #pause 

To begin receiving messages/chats once again from the Redbird Bot, simply send a message to the Bot.
