Set User Defaults in Campus Solutions

Learn how to set user defaults in Campus Solutions.

Use this feature to filter the students that appear in the search results. For example, if you only work with graduate biology students, you can set your user defaults so that the only students that are displayed in the search results are graduate biology students. Or, you can set the user defaults so that the filtered search results display students that are enrolled during a particular semester. 

Before You Begin

To sign in to Campus Solutions, navigate to cs.illinoisstate.edu. Once there, click the sign in using CentralLogin button. Then, log in with your ULID and password. Alternatively, log into My.IllinoisState.edu and select the Campus Solutions button.

Once you log in, the options on your screen will depend on your security access.

Off Campus Authentication Note

If you are off campus, Campus Solutions will require an MFA request approval. Follow this link to set up your MFA if you still need to. MFA Info/Setup

Requesting Access

To obtain access to Campus Solutions, be assigned with a certain role, or gain access to view certain student groups or service indicators, contact the Technology Support Center.

How to Set User Defaults in Campus Solutions

  1. First, click the NavBar icon on the upper right of the screen.

  2. In the menu that appears below, click the Menu icon.

  3. Click Set Up SACR.

  4. In the "Set Up SACR" menu that appears, click User Defaults.

  5. The "User Defaults" page will appear. A group of tabs are listed at the top of the screen. Use the fields in any of these tabs to filter the search results.

  6. Use the lookup buttons next to each field to select the type of student that will be filtered.

    For example, click the lookup button in the "Academic Career" field. In the Look Up Academic Career window that appears, a list of search results will appear.

  7. For this example, click Graduate. This will close the window and the Graduate code will be entered in the "Academic Career" field.

  8. Next, click the lookup button in the "Academic Group" field.

    In the "Look Up Academic Group" window that appears, a list of search results will appear. For this example, click College of Arts and Sciences. This will close the window and the College of Arts and Sciences code will be entered in the Academic Group field.

  9. Finally, click the lookup button in the "Subject Area" field.

    In the "Look Up Academic Subject Area" window that appears, a list of search results will appear. For this example, click Biological Sciences. This will close the window and the Biological Sciences code will be entered in the Subject Area field.

  10. Click the Save button to save your user defaults.

  11. With these user defaults set in place, the only students that will now be displayed (in search results and student pages) are graduate biology students.
